Dance on screen, Screen Dance or Dance for camera... with a selection of CHOREOGRAPHIC CAPTURES - choreographic clips with a length of 60 seconds - this commented screening exemplarily presents the interaction between choreography, film and media art and puts a focus on the diversity of modes of presentation and realisation.

With the media presentation of “personality” and “life” in social networks such as Twitter, Instagram or YouTube, but also with the increased choreographing of social, architectural and political spaces, everyday movements and actions are increasingly being transformed into a conscious performative action.

VIDEONALE.scope 2013

With Videonale Scope, Videonale Bonn opens a new series of events dealing with the crossover and the interfaces between film and video art. The programme, curated by Daniel Kothenschulte, will start with retrospectives of two world-famous film artists who have influenced the film avant-garde for some forty years: Berlin-born Birgit Hein and American James Benning.
