Collecting Video Art

In cooperation with SK Stiftung Kultur Köln and Olaf Stüber Berlin.

Since video appeared on the scene in the 60s, it has become one of the most important media of contemporary art and is an integral part of artistic production. On the art market video is having a hard time. What leads collectors to interest themselves for this medium? What are their goals, their concerns? How do they live with their art?
SK Stiftung Kultur Köln, Videonale Bonn and Olaf Stüber Berlin issue an invitation to  a series of discussions between established and young collectors. With an insight into what causes a passion for collecting, the series will cast light on the role which private collections play for art, artists and the production of art.
